What is Vizlings? Expressive 3D characters, explained
The honest tour: expressive 3D AI characters that talk and remember, an iOS app, a web studio, a character creator, and memory that stays yours.

Fair question, and it deserves a straight answer. Vizlings is expressive 3D characters you talk to by voice or text. They listen, they answer, and they stay in character with unsettling commitment. That is the whole idea. Everything below is just where it lives, what it can do, and what it costs.
Characters that talk
A Vizling is not a chat window with a profile picture on it. Each one is a full 3D character performing inside their own scene: voice, expression, and movement all working together while you talk. Ask a question and you get a performance, not a paragraph. The character gallery has the whole cast, historical figures and original troublemakers alike, and every one of them will make their own first impression.
Characters that remember
Good character chat is mostly memory. The running jokes, the preferences, the history you never have to repeat: what a Vizling remembers about you is what makes it yours. So we treat that memory as your property, not ours. Once you are signed in, you can download everything we hold about you, in formats another product can import. If you ever leave, the archive leaves with you. The whole philosophy, including exactly what is remembered and where it lives, is written out at the memory page.
The iOS app
Vizlings lives on iPhone and iPad today. The app is the full experience: a 3D character app in your pocket, with the worlds, the cast, and the creator all inside. Grab it here. Macs, Windows, and Android are queued up on the roadmap, in descending order of certainty.
The web studio
Not everything needs an install. The web studio runs in your browser and covers a growing slice of the product: you can chat with the characters right now, and the building tools are moving in room by room. If you have five minutes and a browser tab, you have a conversation.
Make your own
The character creator is the part we are proudest of. Describe someone and they exist: a face, a voice, a personality, opinions included. Take the guided path if you want company on the way in, or go direct if you already know exactly who is waiting on the other side. Either way you end up with a living 3D character, not a settings page.
What you make can matter beyond your own screen, too. Our worlds are open, and building inside them earns contribution points from the very first thing you create.
Not venture backed, and why that shapes everything
Vizlings is not venture backed. That is not a boast. It is the single fact that explains most of our decisions.
It means the product has to cover its own costs. We keep as much compute on your device as we can to stay cheap, but the services behind the characters, the rendering, the voice, the generation, charge us for every conversation, and those bills are real. Credits exist to pay exactly that, nothing more theatrical.
It also means nobody is pushing us to grow at any cost. We do not need to farm your attention or lock the exits to hit somebody's quarterly number. Our analytics are first-party and cookieless, we do not sell your conversations to anyone, and the door out is part of the product. When your money is the business model, you are the customer. We like it that way.
The short version
- Expressive 3D AI characters that talk by voice or text and stay in character.
- An iOS app for the full experience, and a web studio for the browser.
- A character creator that turns a description into someone.
- Memory that is yours to keep and yours to take, spelled out at /memory.
- No investors to please. Just you.
Still curious? The FAQ answers the practical questions, and the cast answers everything else. Say hello to a character first, though. They have been rehearsing.
